Global Classroom

We are getting ready for our biggest summer ever and we have over 250 young leaders who are eager to travel to East Africa this summer as part of our Global Classroom experience. GLI's Global Classroom is partnering with over 20 institutions in 2023 for Immersion Programs, Internships, Research Fellowships, and the 7th Annual Global Youth Summit!

Global Student Equity Fund

GLI is committed to providing opportunities to populations historically underrepresented in programs similar to our Global Classroom. We are working with local and national partners to build pipelines for students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority Serving Institutions to participate in our programs at more accessible price points.

The Global Student Equity Fund aims to bridge the gap financially for students who are eager to participate in Global Classrooms programs, but monetary restraints are preventing them from doing so.

We have a $10k donor match to kick things off and will be reaching out to our extensive alumni networks to help us fund our many programs this summer.  We are looking to raise $25k by the end of April to make this all happen!  Anything you can do to spread the word and help us support this work would be much appreciated!

Goal of GLI’s Global Classroom

Engaging students and communities to think critically about international community development and engage in cross-cultural learning, conversations & work in-line with best-practices (Listen, Think, Act).

What Makes GLI’s Global Classroom Unique?

We offer in-person and virtual Global Classroom programs year-round spanning many different thematic learning areas, all designed to teach best practices community development and build strong cross-cultural connections. We have always relied on student and partner feedback to inform the evolution of our Global Classroom and are constantly changing and seeking input to adapt each program. Thus, no program that we run is exactly the same! Someone could participate in GSFP, a Youth Summit, and a faculty-led Immersion Trip, and have a slightly different experience each time! But the core values and lessons surrounding community development will always be the same.
