The Global Livingston Institute (GLI), in partnership with Cornell University and other institutions, will host a one hour and a half Academic Summit Series starting on Friday, September 18, 2020, from 11 AM to 12:30 PM. EST focusing on public health. The goal of this international convention is to bring together global scholars who are working on community development in East Africa to “Listen. Think. Act” about the best practices in the field.
Listen. To feature notable East Africa–related research from all around the globe that will both inform conference participants and foster future collaboration;
Think. To begin building a lasting and formidable network of researchers, scholars, and community development leaders who will work together to advance new ideas in research, collaborate on future projects, coordinate on grant and funding opportunities, and share ideas for additional research and action; and
Act. To leave the conference with a strategic plan on how to further build out the network and activate ideas and concepts discussed over the course of the sessions.
