2024 was a year of transformation for the Global Livingston Institute (GLI)a time to reflect, refocus, and deepen our roots. As I stepped into the role of Executive Director, I found myself constantly inspired by the founding vision of Jamie Van Leeuwen: building reciprocal, respectful relationships between Americans and Africans through deep listening and thoughtful action.
