Annual Celebration

“Tugende” means “Let’s go!” in Luganda and captures our call to action as GLI steps into its next era.

Everything we do is rooted in our longtime mantra: “Listen. Think. Act.” Help us continue to build the legacy of GLI by building more connections between the U.S. and Africa.

As GLI develops new opportunities for students beyond East Africa, support us in building reciprocal learning experiences across more of the African continent.

Less than 4% of U.S. study abroad students travel to Sub-Saharan Africa. Your support helps us increase access to programs on the continent and cultivate more connections between U.S. and African youth.

International education should create value both globally and locally. Your support helps GLI invest in the communities that educate and welcome our students—from last-mile public health initiatives to grassroots programs around Lake Bunyonyi.

Webale Kwiija means “You Are Welcome Here” in Rukiga, the local language at Lake Bunyonyi. Help us welcome more people—locally and internationally—into the GLI community.

Celebrate with us while helping support GLI’s next chapter.

Sponsorship contributions support GLI’s overall work unless a specific designation is agreed upon.

Join us on October 13, become an event sponsor, or make a gift to GLI’s fall fundraising campaign. Your support helps create new opportunities for American and African students to learn together while strengthening the communities and partnerships that make those experiences possible.

For sponsorship questions, contact Ryan Grundy at ryan@globallivingston.org or 713-306-8570.
