Public Health
This program familiarizes students with public health issues and interventions in Uganda and Rwanda, explores healthcare inequalities locally and globally, and engages students in critical discussions about foreign-funded health intervention.
Students meet with national and local health professionals and may engage in clinical practice, public health interventions, and research projects that complement their academic curricula.
Trips vary in length from 10 days (typically undergraduate) to 4 weeks (typically pre-med and medical students).
International Development
This program is designed to help students think critically about global development and understand best practices in community development.
Students connect with organizations and individuals to examine development impacts in urban and rural communities in Uganda and Rwanda, learn about global inequalities, and explore international power dynamics.
Students explore issues like poverty alleviation, agriculture, public health, and conservation. Trips vary in length but typically span 10-14 days.
